17th October 2025 was a special day for the pupils of Remar Shalom Education Centre, an orphanage School in Pakro, a village in Ghana’s Eastern Region. They were overjoyed to be presented with books and other educational materials by ILAD. The large consignment of items was sent to ILAD by Ms Mina Sylvia Otoo, a lawyer and philanthropist based in the United States. The books were presented to the school by Nana Kegya Appiah-Adu Esq. and JFK Agudetse Esq. on behalf of Mina Sylvia Otoo when a team from ILAD went to the school to conduct a seminar on The Responsibilities of Teachers under the Domestic Violence Act 2007 and the Children’s Act 1998.
